Hubs

Our hub projects focus on upgrades, rebuilds, optimization, expansion, convergence, and the overall validation testing and re-engineering required to deploy new services.

Hub Projects

Hub projects are driven by acquisitions, subscriber growth, regional backbone convergence architectures, and rollouts of VoIP, VoD, SDV and HDTV, and increases in HSD bandwidth.

 

Our hub services include IP, optical, and RF/HFC engineering, installation, turn-up and test, as well as site surveys and technical documentation. We also provide technical project management.

 

Our expertise covers the range of hub equipment including network optics, routers, CMTSs, ad-insertion systems, rate muxes, edge-QAM devices, combiners, splitters, and HFC as well as Ethernet optics, from a variety of vendors. We specialize in designing, modifying and testing router and CMTS configurations, and in providing the RF/HFC engineering needed to deliver HSD, voice and video from the hub to the subscriber.

 

DTI’s value in hub projects leverages our work in headends, national backbones, regional backbones and in the outside plant. Because we work in all these network locations and layers, we can address network-wide as well as hub-specific challenges. This is another example of how we provide expertise for end-to-end success.
